Tataouine/Ksar Ouled Soltane/Chenini/Ksar ghilane/Zmela

-Morning departure for Tataouine, for a first immersion in the authentic South.

-Visit to the famous Ksar Ouled Soltane, an ancient Berber granary.

-Continue on to the mountain village of Chenini, suspended on the rock face.

-Lunch at the Dar Guermessa restaurant.

-In the afternoon, drive to the Saharan oasis of Ksar Ghilane.

Natural hot spring (32°), opportunity for a swim.

♣ The immense sand dunes of the Grand Erg Oriental, with the possibility of quad biking and camel trekking (optional, payable on site).

-Overnight in tents at the Zmela camp, in the middle of the desert .

ksar ghilane/Douz/Chott el jerid/Tozeur

-After breakfast, departure for Douz, the gateway to the desert, for a coffee break, then a crossing of the mythical Chott el jerid,

a salt lake with fascinating mirages.

-Arrival in Tozeur, lunch, then visit of the old Medina.

-Visit a traditional brickworks, an architectural speciality of the region.

-Overnight in Tozeur.

Tozeur/Chebika/Tamarza/Mides/Ong Jmel/Mos Espa .

-Departure for the superb Chebika/Tamarza/Mides mountain oases, veritable natural gems.

-Lunch in Tamarza.

-In the afternoon, visit of the famous Mos Espa "Star Wars" set, and discovery of the igloo on part of the Chott el jerid.

-Overnight in Tozeur.

Sidi bou hlel/Matmata/Toujene

-Departure for Sidi Bou Hlel, a natural canyon used as a backdrop for : Star Wars, The English Patient and Indiana Jones.

-Continuation to Matmata, via Tamazret.

-Visit a troglodyte house, then discover the Sidi Idriss hotel, where Star Wars was filmed (1977).

-Passage through the Berber village of Toujene, then return to Djerba.
